want to meet in downtown london?

well today i took the train into downtown london with kevin to meet the girls for the day. but, i got there about 45 minutes early so i went into a coffee shop, where i ordered a cup of coffee, and the worker asked me about six mindless questions just to hear my accent. then i took my coffee over by a large window that overlooked the busy street with everyone heading hastily off to work, with St. Paul's cathedral on my right, and watching all the people coming from the left. at 9 o'clock i stood outside the cathedral and met up with kelly and rachel.  then we walked around the city, and did a little bit of shopping, and popped into some cafes.  then around noon we went across the millennium bridge (the bridge that the death eaters destroy in the beginning of harry potter 6!!) and had lunch at this beautiful restaurant right on the river.  i had a salad with guacamole on it and it gave me a nice taste of home.  after lunch we headed over to the shakespearean globe, which is one of my goals in life.  we walked up to the theatre at 2 o' clock, payed 5 pounds and got to go into the standing section of the theatre.  we literally had our arms resting on the stage and the actors did many parts of the play down in the standing area, so it was as if all of us were the commoners that were in the play.  at one point they pulled me out of the way because i was in the spot they needed to be in.  they play was long, but the acting what phenomenal.  the play was about america, which was also a nice taste from home.  i guess that's the closest you'll get to taste of home when you're in london :] it was so incredible seeing a play there, in a theatre where the actors' main spotlight was the sunshine, and where even the rain falling into the theatre didn't stop the mood of the play.

tomorrow i head in to oxford! and find out where i'm living! i can't wait to go there!
