these videos are absolutely precious and have stolen my heart. the first one is the music video of a french girl's song. her name is coeur de pirate if you want to listen to more of her stuff. she's amazing. and i don't know why but the second one got a little cut off on the right side. the formatting is weird right now for some reason. sorry! and i suppose this post could really be called "here's to you, boyfriend" because he's the one that showed me both of these. he's so awesome. way to go sir.

here's to you, flying high.

for some reason i wanted to make this post about balloons. partially because i'm going to start writing a children's story about balloons, so i was looking at pictures for some inspiration. and partly because there is something about them that is so whimsical and fun.  balloons make most days and events just a little sweeter.  there's something about them that represents a childish freedom, that we unfortunately lose as adults, but always remember and love.

my song of the day/week/month: At Least I'm Not As Sad by Fun.  The Format is my favorite band in the whole world and it was one of my life goals to see them in concert.  But then they broke up, and simultaneously broke my heart.  But then, they surprised me, as they always do, and formed a new band called fun.  the new band is not the same, but is just as good, and like it's name, is very fun.  give the song a few listens before you make any decisions.  it's an acquired taste.  and they are adorable. it's a bonus.

here's to you, summer

i am going to drop out of school because of my new found love for summer. it is so great. and i am enjoying every bit of it. so here's to going to the beach.  sunny days that thankfully seem to be a bit longer than winter days. tank tops and dresses. iced coffee. dips in the pool anytime of the day. waking up late to no alarm. bbq's. vacations. sunglasses. salty hair. lemonade. oranges. naps and big beach towels. yep. i'm dropping out of school.
